For sure India's ever improving economy is giving the much awaited purchasing power to the common man today. With increasing wealth, everyone boasts of being a proud owner of a Mercedes or a BMW or an Audi or a Bentley not to forget the Rolls Royce. If we happen to watch any of these kissing our city roads, we get the real feeling.... off course ... people are richer now... we Indians are improving... we have improved so much from what we had with us in the past. So much so we have every individual owning a vehicle or the other..as a status symbol or for easy commutation. Good to see "InDiA ShiNiNG".... the buzzword of early 21st century... :)
Every incident or occurrence does have a flip side of it... and with increasing ownership and off course with increased population getting an inclination towards it.... The same people come back complaining of the increased traffic conditions, day in and day out. Complaints gets piled up in the complain books and becomes a priority task for the Government. They certainly claim to remove the problems faced by the common man and to some extent do work towards it. But I wish this would have been the end of the problem... Then my chosen topic would have been different today... and would have been really "SHiNInG".....
So to address common man's problem and to accommodate more such vehicles on the roads, the obvious short term solution for Government was widening of the roads... and it did started happening... good to hear... many more BMW's and Bentley's on Indian roads... wow good news!!! ... Result !!! Automobile Industries and Infrastructure boom.... yet again Indian Economy Booming!!!.... If everything sounds so good then where is the problem..... Is there any??? Not really!!!!
New buildings, wide roads, increasing population and pollution yet "FalLiNg TrEeS".... Somewhere are we not collectively messing up with the biological equation???
We have much more qualified bureaucrats holding the positions of the decision maker in our countries, but are the somewhere missing out on the basic things taught in our schools. Trees are necessary ... an more so the ones that had been standing tall for years together selflessly just maintaining that ecological balance and giving us an environment to live in. But it started making ways for tall buildings and wide roads and a disturbed ecology.
Are we moving in the right direction??? Should we not try to maintain the ecological balance by growing more and more trees?
Currently we are getting dragged into a viscous circle.... Falling trees ... leads to extreme climatic conditions .... now whom should we approach to get our self created problems resolved. The resolution lies with us.... or else we would be residing in deserts in near future.... most of our so called developed cities would be submerged under water....and there will be no place for Mercedes or BMW's.... as human life will start to loose its much privileged place on this "BeAuTIfUl" planet of ours. Let's save our planet... Let's save our earth.... Greenery everywhere is the answer to it.... There is no other alternative left.... Let's make use of this last option before we run out of that as well....
